Connect AI apps (MCP)

Let Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP app create timers, update counters and read stats for you.

InboxClock has an MCP server. MCP is the standard way AI apps connect to other tools. Once connected, you can ask in plain words:

  • “Make a Black Friday timer that ends November 27 at 11:59 PM New York time, and give me the email code.”
  • “Move the flash sale deadline to Sunday midnight.”
  • “The workshop has 3 fewer seats. Update the counter.”
  • “How many views did last week’s launch timer get, and in which email apps?”

The server address is:

https://inboxclock.com/mcp

Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and select Add custom connector.
  2. Name it InboxClock and paste the server address.
  3. Select Connect. Sign in to InboxClock if asked, then select Allow.

ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps & Connectors. Custom connectors need developer mode, under Advanced settings.
  2. Create a connector with the server address, and choose OAuth for authentication.
  3. Sign in to InboxClock if asked, then select Allow.

Claude Code, Cursor and other developer tools

Add the server with the address above. The app opens InboxClock in your browser to approve the connection. In Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http inboxclock https://inboxclock.com/mcp

Tools without a browser can send an API key instead:

claude mcp add --transport http inboxclock https://inboxclock.com/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer ick_..."

What the AI app can do

Tool What it does
list_timers List your timers and counters
get_timer Show one timer’s settings and the code to paste into an email
create_timer Create a timer or counter from a template
update_timer Change the deadline, text, links or look, or archive it
set_counter Set a counter’s number, or add or subtract
get_timer_stats Views and clicks for the last 30 days, and email apps
delete_timer Delete a timer. Apps ask you first.

Changes work like changes in the editor: emails you already sent show them the next time they are opened.

Disconnect an app

When you allow an app, InboxClock adds an API key named after it, such as “Claude (AI app)”. To disconnect, delete that key in Account → API keys. The app loses access at once.

The app can do only what your account can do with timers. It cannot see your password or your other API keys, or change your account.
