The last-hours look

Make a timer change color, and optionally its headline, in the final hours before the deadline.

Near the deadline, a timer can switch to an urgent look by itself. The same embed code keeps working, so you do not need a second email or a second timer.

Turn it on

  1. Open the timer and expand When it ends.
  2. Turn on Change color near the end.
  3. Choose when it starts: 1, 6, 12, 24 or 48 hours before the end.
  4. Pick the color. Red is the default.
  5. Optional: write a headline for the final hours, such as “Last chance”.

What changes

  • The numbers, or the cards they sit on, take the urgent color.
  • If you wrote a headline for the final hours, it replaces the normal headline.

For evergreen timers, the final hours are counted per reader.

If you set a final-hours headline on a timer that has no normal headline, the space for it is kept from the start. That way the image never changes size inside the email.
