Integrations/Mailchimp

Countdown timers for Mailchimp.

Add a live countdown to any Mailchimp email in a few minutes. No app to install and no API key.

Step by step

Add the timer to a Mailchimp email

First make a timer in Inboxclock, save it, and open Embed. Choose Mailchimp and copy the code.

  1. Open your campaign in the email builder.

  2. Drag a Code block (in some builder versions it is called HTML) to where the timer should go.

  3. Paste the embed code from Inboxclock and save the block.

  4. Send a test email to yourself.

Editors change from time to time. If you cannot find a Code block, use an Image block and paste the image URL from Inboxclock instead.

Evergreen

A personal deadline per Mailchimp subscriber

An evergreen timer starts at each subscriber’s first open. Inboxclock tells subscribers apart with a Mailchimp merge tag.

*|UNIQID|* prints the subscriber’s unique ID.

<img src="https://inboxclock.app/t/YOUR-TIMER-ID.gif?r=*|UNIQID|*"
     width="600" height="160" alt="Offer ends soon"
     style="display:block;width:100%;max-width:600px" />

The Embed tab adds the tag when you pick Mailchimp. You can change it there if your account uses another field.

Good to know

Before you send

  • Mailchimp’s preview does not replace merge tags, so evergreen timers show their full length there. The test email shows the real behavior.
