InboxClock vs CountdownMail

CountdownMail is well made. InboxClock adds counters and a website widget, free during the beta.

CountdownMail has been around for years and covers timers thoroughly. If you also want live counters, the same timer on your website, and uploads on every plan, InboxClock does that today at no cost.

What you’d pay each month

Choose InboxClock if

  • You want live counters (seats left, stock, money raised) next to your timers.
  • You want the same timer on your landing page, not just in email.
  • You want background images and your own font without moving to a $39 plan.
  • You want stats by hour and by email app.
  • Free during the beta is attractive while you test.

Choose CountdownMail if

  • Several people need their own logins and permissions today.
  • You need to send more than a million views a month on a committed plan with an SLA.
  • You prefer a service with a long track record.

Switching from CountdownMail

Nothing breaks when you switch. Timers are separate images, so emails you already sent keep their CountdownMail timers.

  1. Make the same timer in InboxClock. The simple templates fit most emails, and you can upload your brand font.

  2. In your next campaign, replace the CountdownMail image code with the InboxClock code from the Embed tab.

  3. Send yourself a test. Keep your old timers running in emails you already sent; they are not affected.
